Summary

Anti-acetylcholinesterase (AChE) antibodies are common in thyroid autoimmunity but do not correlate with Graves' ophthalmopathy. Limited cross-reactivity exists between anti-thyroglobulin and anti-AChE antibodies, suggesting they do not cause orbital pathology.
