Summary

A rare intra-abdominal synovial sarcoma in the gastrocolic ligament presented as a mass and pain. Surgical resection followed chemotherapy, but the patient experienced disease relapse.

A 64-year-old woman presented with a palpable abdominal mass and pain, indicative of a large intra-abdominal tumor.
CT scans revealed a significant mass compressing adjacent organs, including the liver, stomach, and duodenum.

Findings:

Biopsy and histopathology confirmed a biphasic synovial sarcoma.
The patient underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy, surgery, and adjuvant chemotherapy.
Despite initial treatment, the patient experienced pulmonary and intra-abdominal relapse 18 months post-surgery.
