Background:

Traditional impression techniques can be limited by static recordings, failing to capture dynamic functional movements of oral tissues.
Accurate recording of the relationship between implant components and surrounding soft tissues is crucial for successful prosthesis delivery.
Provisional dentures are often used during the implant healing phase and can provide a basis for future prosthetic records.

Observation:

A novel method for fabricating a special tray using the dynamic impression concept is described.
This tray, derived from provisional implant dentures, is used to create a detailed wash-impression of the mucosa.
The provisional denture's extended use (2 months) and similar border length to the custom tray ensure a functional, non-overextended record.
