Evaluation of Multiple Choice and Short Essay Question items in Basic Medical Sciences

This study assessed medical science assessment tools, finding many item writing flaws in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and a low cognitive level in both MCQs and Short Essay Questions (SEQs). Faculty development is recommended to improve medical education assessment quality.
