Summary

Menopause affects gait patterns in women, with post-menopausal women exhibiting a prolonged stance phase. However, stride-to-stride gait variability remained unchanged between pre- and post-menopausal groups.

  • 48 healthy women were divided into pre-menopausal (Group A) and post-menopausal (Group B) groups.
  • Gait parameters were measured using a DynaPort MiniMod accelerometer.

  • No significant differences in walking speed, step length, or cadence were observed.
