Abstract:
The treatment of patients with skeletal metastases is becoming increasingly important because of longer survival times of patients with metastatic carcinoma. The most common surgical procedures and their indications in the treatment of metastatic carcinoma involving spine and extremities are described. Some typical clinical examples illustrate the operative techniques.
