Comparison of two molecular methods for detecting toxigenic Clostridium difficile

Two molecular assays for detecting Clostridium difficile infection showed high concordance and comparable performance to toxigenic culture. Both Meridian Illumigene™ and AdvanSure CD real-time PCR offer reliable diagnostic capabilities for C. difficile.
