Summary

The G2019S mutation in the LRRK2 gene increases kinase activity, causing Parkinson's disease (PD) related neuronal dysfunction. A novel inhibitor, BMPPB-32, normalized visual function in Drosophila models, suggesting therapeutic potential for PD.
