Application of leadership theory: integrating thought and action
The Nursing Clinics of North America
|March 1, 1978
Abstract:
While the experienced nursing director may and can make decisions quickly and intuitively, the student and the novice supervisor or director need tools to facilitate the process. The theories are presented not as iron-clad rules, but rather as guidelines to be used in selecting leadership behavior appropriate to circumstantial needs, which can vary widely in nursing.
