Online friend recommendation is a rapidly advancing field within web mining.
Existing methods often struggle with data sparsity and the cold start problem, limiting their effectiveness.

To develop a hybrid recommendation algorithm for online friends.
To enhance accuracy and address challenges like data sparsity and the cold start problem.

Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) matrix factorization to model user and item features.
Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) for parameter optimization.
K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) model to mitigate cold start and data sparsity by influencing user feature vectors.
