[Influence of myleran on globin chain synthesis ratio in anemic rhesus monkeys]

Globin chain synthesis ratio (gamma/gamma+beta) and fetal hemoglobin (Hb F) in three anemic rhesus monkeys were studied after treatment with myleran. The ratio (gamma/gamma+beta chains) began to rise ten days earlier than the corresponding fetal hemoglobin levels. The curves of globin chain synthesis ratios were found to be related to dosage and the duration of myleran treatment.
