Skin cancer is a type of cancer that occurs when there is an abnormal growth of skin cells, usually triggered by damage to the DNA within the skin cells. Background:

  • Psoriasiform Keratosis is a rare clinic entity with unknown etiopathogenesis.
  • It typically presents as a solitary, scaly or keratotic papule or plaque, predominantly on extremities.
  • Histopathological features are similar to psoriasis.

Observation:

  • A 70-year-old woman presented with a solitary, asymptomatic keratotic plaque on her left leg.
  • The lesion was unresponsive to topical corticosteroid treatment.

Findings:

  • Excisional biopsy was performed for diagnosis.
  • Histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of Psoriasiform Keratosis.

Implications:

  • This case highlights the clinical presentation and diagnostic approach for Psoriasiform Keratosis.
  • Further research into the etiopathogenesis of this rare condition is warranted.
