Tympanometric changes and eustachian tube function in patients with hypothyroidism.

Hypothyroidism is linked to eustachian tube dysfunction (ETF) and altered tympanometric measurements. Treatment improved ETF in hypothyroid patients, suggesting a reversible effect on middle ear function.
