High-avoidance Roman high-avoidance inhibitor (RHA-I) rats, which are less anxious, show a greater preference for ethanol compared to low-avoidance Roman low-avoidance inhibitor (RLA-I) rats. Ethanol preference is linked to sensation-seeking behaviors, including novelty exploration.
