Interview with Professor Jindřich Kopeček

Jindřich Kopeček speaks to Hannah Stanwix, Managing Comissioning Editor: Jindřich Henry Kopeček received his PhD in Macromolecular Chemistry and DSc in Chemistry from the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (Czech Republic). His postdoctoral studies were at the National Research Council of Canada. He is currently a Distinguished Professor at the University of Utah (UT, USA) in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Bioengineering. Dr Kopeček has received numerous awards in his career, including the Millennial Pharmaceutical Scientist accolade. His laboratory is credited with first developing N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide copolymer as a delivery vehicle for cancer therapy. Dr Kopeček has authored and coauthored over 400 publications and been cited over 15,000 times.
