Metformin in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis: a randomized controlled trial

Metformin did not significantly improve liver enzymes in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) patients. Weight loss was the primary driver of biochemical improvements in this randomized controlled trial.
