Arthroscopic Management of Massive Irreparable Rotator Cuff Tears: Whole Rotator Cable Reconstruction Using Proximal Biceps Tendon Autograft
Published on: June 6, 2025
Abstract:
Arthrography has been used to evaluate pain and instability caused by arthritis, ligamentous tears and tears of the triangular fibrocartilage. A modification of previously reported techniques is described and includes fluoroscopy of wrist motion, stress views, magnification and the use of a metal pointer to indicate the area of maximum pain. Our experiences and results in 27 arthrograms are described.

Assessment of apical radial pulse
The A-R pulse assessment involves simultaneous evaluation of the apical and radial pulses. When the apical and radial pulse rates vary, this assessment helps identify a pulse deficit.
