[Fixation of multi-fragment fracture of the clavicle using an external stabilizer "Zespol"]

After a short presentation of the treatment methods of clavicle shaft fracture and the atypical use of Zespol stabilization in other than union of long bones shaft operation, the treated patient with ++multi-fragment clavicle shaft fracture with indications for operative reposition and fragments osteosynthesis has been presented. The Zespol plate and 4 screws were used above the skin as an external stabilizer for immobilization of the fragments. A good result was achieved: bone union and full mobility of the joints.
