Children of schizophrenic mothers

Children of schizophrenic mothers suffer a higher risk of a personality development disturbance in the sense of a borderline structure or neglect. Alongside these problems we see an increase in neurotic and psychosomatic symptoms, each of which dependent upon the point in time, the length of time and severity of the deprivation of the children and from the type of schizophrenic illness in the mother. It has been attempted to portray the effect that the family relationship and communication malfunctions and the irrational environment has on the different age groups.
