    Area of Science:

    • Dentistry
    • Orthodontics
    • Pediatric Dentistry

    Background:

    • Maxillary permanent first molar ectopic eruption can lead to resorption and premature loss of the primary second molar.
    • This premature loss results in a loss of arch length, complicating future dental development.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To present a simple, effective, and easily fabricated appliance for the early treatment of ectopic eruption.
    • To prevent the consequences of untreated ectopic eruption, such as tooth loss and arch length discrepancy.

    Main Methods:

    • Advocating a specific appliance for early intervention.
    • The appliance is designed for simplicity in fabrication and application.

    Main Results:

    • The proposed appliance offers a straightforward method for managing ectopic eruption.
    • Early treatment aims to preserve the primary second molar and maintain arch length.

    Conclusions:

    • The presented appliance provides a viable, simple solution for early ectopic eruption management.
    • Effective early treatment is crucial for preventing secondary complications in dental arch development.
