Simultaneous laparoscopy-assisted resection for synchronous rectal and gastric cancer is a safe and feasible procedure. Experienced surgeons can achieve minimal trauma and fast recovery for patients undergoing this combined surgery.

- No complications or mortality were observed, with no recurrence or metastasis at 22 months.

- Simultaneous laparoscopy-assisted resection is safe and feasible for experienced surgeons.
- This approach offers benefits of minimal trauma, rapid recovery, and improved cosmesis over open surgery.
