Dexmedetomidine ameliorates monitored anaesthesia care

Dexmedetomidine, an alpha2 agonist, effectively provides conscious sedation and analgesia for monitored anaesthesia care (MAC). This study found two doses of dexmedetomidine safe and effective, reducing the need for supplemental sedatives and analgesics.
