Coagulation and fibrinolysis during lung surgery:an experimental study

Lung manipulation during surgery does not significantly alter key blood clotting factors. This study in pigs suggests the low incidence of postoperative thromboembolism after lung cancer surgery is not due to anticoagulant release.
