Common subclinical hypothyroidism during Whipple's disease

Classic Whipple's disease may cause subclinical hypothyroidism, a condition marked by elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). Researchers recommend routine TSH testing for Whipple's disease patients to detect this common comorbidity.
