Summary

GNAS1 mutations are uncommon in gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors and hyperplastic polyps. However, this study found GNAS1 mutations in colon tumors exhibiting villous differentiation, suggesting a role in specific colorectal tumor subtypes.
