Steadily improving survival in lung cancer

Lung cancer survival has significantly improved in a southern California community, with 5-year survival rates increasing substantially over three decades. This progress is linked to earlier diagnosis, shifts in histologic types, and enhanced systemic therapies for lung cancer patients.
