Can post-mortem CT reliably distinguish between drowning and non-drowning asphyxiation?

Summary

Post-mortem CT scans cannot reliably differentiate drowning from other forms of asphyxiation. Many observed CT findings in drowning cases also appear in non-drowning asphyxiation, necessitating cautious interpretation of these indicators.
