Non-invasive brain stimulation of the Supplementary Motor Area (SMA) can alter emotional responses. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) over the SMA modulated the perceived valence of emotional stimuli, demonstrating neuromodulation of affect.
