Abstract:
The authors present the adaptation of the so-called "Program for a Medicalized Information System" using the clinical complexity of the patient, his nursing weights and the expenses directly imputed. A critical analysis of the "Diagnosis Related Groups" method is shown and the new form of "Normalized Complexity Index" proposed. Some issues explain the advantages of this new method.
