Using Digital Image Correlation to Characterize Local Strains on Vascular Tissue Specimens

We developed a new dynamic strain mapping technique using synchrotron X-ray digital image correlation (XDIC). This method enables high-resolution, in-volume strain measurements for opaque materials under extreme deformation.
