  • Prospective study involving 20 patients and 100 cherry hemangioma lesions (>0.2 mm).
  • Intralesional injection of 3% sodium tetradecyl sulfate (0.1 mL per lesion).
  • Scarring assessed using The Stony Brook Scar Evaluation Scale; weekly sessions up to 4 weeks.

Main Results:

  • 42% of lesions responded to a single sclerotherapy dose.
  • 44% required a second session.
  • 14% needed three or four sessions for complete remission.
  • No statistically significant difference in healing rates between patient groups.

Conclusions:

  • Sclerotherapy with 3% sodium tetradecyl sulfate is an effective treatment for cherry angiomas.
  • This method provides a cost-effective alternative to conventional treatments.
