  • Histopathology revealed sarcoidal granulomas.

Findings:

  • Systemic sarcoidosis was excluded, leading to a diagnosis of CGPD.
  • Topical erythromycin therapy resulted in complete clinical regression of the lesions.

Implications:

  • CGPD primarily affects children with darker skin tones.
  • The condition is now widely viewed as a distinct form of perioral dermatitis, responding well to antibiotic treatment.
