Summary

Time-based shared monitoring systems (TSMS) are generally time-efficient for anesthesia monitoring, but inefficient use can lead to delays. Combining TSMS with dedicated capnometry offers a practical solution. Cost-efficiency analysis shows TSMS can be cost-effective long-term.
