Area of Science:

  • Urology
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Diagnostic Imaging

Background:

  • Testicular masses require thorough investigation to determine etiology.
  • Pseudoaneurysms, particularly arterial ones within the scrotum, are uncommon causes of testicular pathology.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To present an unusual case of testicular artery pseudoaneurysm.
  • To describe the clinical presentation, diagnostic findings, and management of this rare condition.

Main Methods:

  • Case report detailing a patient with testicular pain and mass.
  • Ultrasound imaging revealing a central anechoic region with arterial waveform.
  • Surgical management via orchiectomy.

Main Results:

  • Ultrasound findings were concerning for a pseudoaneurysm.
  • Orchiectomy was performed for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
  • The patient experienced complete symptom resolution post-surgery.

Conclusions:

  • Testicular artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare but significant cause of testicular mass and pain.
  • Prompt diagnosis and surgical intervention, such as orchiectomy, can lead to favorable outcomes.
