The first reported case of vancomycin-intermediate, daptomycin-nonsusceptible Sequence type 72 methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ST72-MRSA-IV) was identified. This finding highlights the need to monitor antibiotic resistance in emerging MRSA strains.
