Association between Severity of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Lung Function Tests

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) severity, assessed by American Thoracic Society (ATS) criteria, correlates with total lung capacity (TLC) and functional residual capacity (FRC). Spirometry may not fully replace ATS criteria for COPD assessment.
