Abstract:
Chemotaxonomic studies are frequently limited by the volume of data obtained and the difficulty of reducing this to statistically interpretable results. This paper describes the use of a straightforward procedure for relating the pattern of occurrence of sterols in fungi, analysed by mass spectrometry, to their classification.
