Effects of on-pump and off-pump surgery in the Arterial Revascularization Trial

  • Contemporary CABG surgery demonstrates excellent outcomes with low mortality, stroke, MI, and need for repeat revascularization.
  • Both on-pump and off-pump CABG procedures yield favorable results, with specific advantages in reduced operative time and blood loss for off-pump techniques.
