[Regulation of hemostasis: the protein C-protein S system]

Two vitamin K dependent plasma proteins, protein C and protein S, play an actually well known role in the regulation of hemostasis. The importance of a deficiency in one or the other of these proteins in the genesis of thrombotic events justifies its systematic detection in this type of pathology.
