Summary

RAP-011, a sotatercept ortholog, effectively increased hemoglobin in mice with high hepcidin antimicrobial peptide levels. Unlike erythropoietin, RAP-011 did not deplete iron stores, suggesting it may treat anemias with iron-restricted erythropoiesis.
