Adequate estimation of situations which evoke a damage of tissues and defence of functional systems of the organism from excessive nociceptive influences can be achieved in the case when the brain structures take part in nociception and form a developed complex of the specialized and closely interconnected neuronal systems (nociceptive, analgesic and antianalgesic ones).
