Pedometers to enhance physical activity in COPD: a randomised controlled trial

A pedometer-based program significantly increased daily steps and improved quality of life for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This simple intervention enhanced physical activity levels more effectively than standard encouragement alone.
