Falls among the elderly: risk factors in a population-based study

- Use of multiple medications (≥5) (PR = 2.50) and assistive devices like canes/walkers (PR = 2.16) were also linked to higher fall rates.

- Specific segments of the elderly population are more susceptible to falls.
- The identified risk factors can guide the development of targeted public health interventions for fall prevention.
