Summary

Bioavailable polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) levels in Kaohsiung Harbor varied between surface and bottom waters. Turbulent surface conditions enhanced PAH uptake, while diffusion limited it in calmer bottom waters, indicating different sources.
