[Glans penis necrosis secondary to gentian violet treatment]
Archivos Espanoles De Urologia
|October 1, 1989
Abstract:
We describe a patient who developed superficial necrosis of the glans penis from irritation after topical treatment with 1% gentian violet. The foregoing condition resolved after withdrawal of treatment. A differential diagnosis (sexually transmitted diseases, epidermoid carcinoma, etc.) is warranted on finding this type of lesion in the glans penis.
