Summary

Maternal plasma levels of 5 alpha-androstane-3 alpha, 17 beta-diol glucuronide (ADG) decrease during pregnancy, unlike previous findings. This decrease correlates with reduced dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (DHEA-S), a key ADG precursor.
