Elevated insulin resistance in patients with recurrent aphthous stomatitis

This study found higher insulin resistance (IR) in patients with recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS). IR was more pronounced during active stages of RAS, suggesting a link between inflammation and glucose metabolism. Patients with RAS may benefit from prediabetes screening.
