Application of a glycaemic control optimization programme in patients with stress hyperglycaemia

A new blood glycaemic control optimization programme (BGCOP) effectively manages stress-induced hyperglycaemia (SHG) post-surgery. BGCOP demonstrated superior glucose control and fewer complications compared to conventional intensive insulin therapy (CIIT).

- This study provides a valuable approach for managing SHG in this patient population.
