Background:

  • The United Nations Post-2015 Development agenda is defining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to succeed the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
  • Disability inclusion is a critical aspect of global development, particularly in poverty eradication efforts.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the recognition and inclusion of disability in key documents of the UN Post-2015 Development agenda process.
  • To examine the Outcome Document of the Open Working Group (OWG) on SDGs and the Report of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing (ICESDF).
