    Summary

    Piperacillin shows broad-spectrum activity against many bacteria, outperforming ampicillin and other beta-lactams against specific Gram-negative bacilli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. However, it is less effective against certain resistant strains and Klebsiella pneumoniae compared to cephalosporins.
